Before the book signing, Jan Brett will do a 20-30 minute drawing demonstration and presentation.
Children’s Book World will have plenty of books available for purchase at the event. If you purchase your book(s) from our store ahead of time, please hold your receipt and bring it with you in order to be given access to the signing line. Only customers who have purchased their books at Children’s Book World will be admitted to the signing line.
Jan will do her very best to sign all the books that time permits. The number she can sign per family depends on how many people come to the signing. If time does not permit her to sign every book, special signed bookplates featuring her artwork will be on hand for the extra books.
If you would like a picture taken with Jan at the signing table a member of our staff will be happy to take a picture while you are having your books signed. However, there will be no pauses for posed photography.
Jan’s tour bus will be parked in the People’s Light parking lot at 9:30 am. It is wrapped in artwork from her books. Your family is welcome to take a photograph next to the bus. And don’t forget about Hedgie, Jan’s favorite friend from The Mitten and The Hat. He will be visiting People’s Light as well. Photos with Hedgie are encouraged!
Children’s Book World is very proud to partner with People’s Light for this very special event. People’s Light concessions will be open and there is plenty of parking.
PLEASE NOTE:
Crowd size will determine how many books Jan will be able to sign. If you are not at the event we cannot guarantee that Jan will sign your book but we do guarantee that you will receive a signed bookplate from her.
