CHOP — Representation Matters: Diversity Book Drive

CBW is joining Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in their Emergency Department’s campaign to collect books for patients that visit their emergency rooms.  The campaign is called Representation Matters: Diversity Book Drive.

The goal of the drive is to build a library of books that represent the diverse members of our community.  These books will be given to the patients, infants through young adults, who visit the emergency room at CHOP.

How you can help: from April to September, come into the store and buy a book from CBW’s specially curated CHOP book shelves!  They’re filled with books that represent the diversity of the patients cared for at the hospital. All books purchased will go directly to CHOP.

In September, Children’s Book World will donate additional books to the campaign totaling an additional 20% of what our customers have purchased.
