Set in medieval France, Cnute the Talking Skull blends history, Viking mythology, and fantasy as a brave ten‑year‑old and his friends help a cursed Viking skull find peace. Full of adventure, heart, and humor, this middle‑grade novel explores friendship, courage, empathy, and forgiveness — making it a story parents will feel good about sharing with readers ages 8-12.

Meet your new friend, Brainy! Brainy is a fun-loving brain who’s excited to guide you on a journey to explore how your brain works, why we experience big emotions, and how we can support our brain when those feelings arise.

This playful and insightful book empowers children to better understand their brains and gives them simple, easy ways to regulate their emotions using neuroscience. Come along with Brainy for an adventure into the science of feelings!

In the lush, protected grasslands of Kaziranga, where elephants roam and hornbills soar, lives a gentle and quiet one-horned rhinoceros named Penelope.

Each year, the unicorns gather beneath the largest apple tree to share ancient tales of floods, famines, and forest lore. But this year, Penelope steps forward, shy yet determined, to share a story unlike any they’ve heard before, her own. With her stubby horn and wrinkled gray skin, Penelope looks different from the shimmering unicorns around her. But when she begins to speak of a time when rhinos were hunted for their horns, her voice carries a message of loss, courage, and an unlikely alliance with kind-hearted villagers and wild friends who rose up to protect the last of her kind.

Based on the real struggles of the one-horned rhinos of India, Penelope and The Unicorns is a tender and powerful picture book about finding your voice, honoring your truth, and discovering that bravery comes in many shapes and sizes. This inspiring tale celebrates conservation, compassion, and the magic of being different.

A beach day. A stubborn cloud. A family’s love and understanding. Alma and Max are eager for a day of sunshine and adventure. But a cloud begins to follow Mom, dimming her day.

With empathy and playful hearts, the family reminds her that it’s okay to not be okay, because clouds don’t last forever. This whimsical picture book, for ages 4-8, validates the reality of hard days while celebrating the healing power of family presence. With its gentle approach to emotional wellness, it gives children the language to understand when someone they love is struggling, and shows them that sometimes, the best thing we can offer is simply being there. Includes discussion questions and caregiver resources for exploring big feelings together.

Meg Auchenbach’s author/illustrator debut, IF YOU ARE AN ARTIST is inspired by her former career as an elementary art teacher, where she watched children daydream, experiment, and create.

If you are an artist, you wonder … How? Why? and What if? You daydream adventure, you stare at the stars, you let your imagination grow, and grow, and GROW! And most importantly, you know that the world is waiting for what YOU and only YOU can create. Because YOU are an artist. Follow a band of young artists — each with their own individual contribution — through this inspirational homage to trusting your own voice, believing in yourself, and cultivating your creativity and sense of wonder to make the world a more beautiful place.

Celebrate Sam’s fifth birthday with a magical first trip to the beach! From tractors and seagulls to sand and shimmering waves, every moment fills him with joy and wonder.
